GFBC E-update
That we may present everyone mature in Christ.

Motivated by love this time of year?
Brian

As Christmas is fast approaching, I find myself scampering to get my list checked off of things to do more than reflecting the reason for the season. I must make an intentional "cease fire" from the flurry of activities so I don't forget God's goodness and love to me. Also, I must conciously think about how I am going to bless others.

This Sunday, we are going to talk about God's initiative in loving us so that we can find it in our selves to love others. When Jesus came to earth to bring us joy, peace hope through His love, we have the opportunity to do the same. Join us this Sunday to find out how we can spread good tidings!

My love to you and prayers for you,

Barbara Majors and the Women's ministry team put on their annual Christmas Dessert in Tucker Hall on December 5. Ross Wescott and his jazz ensemble provided the entertainment. It was a beautiful event. Ladies hosting each table decorated their tables in elaborate style. Funds were raised for Winter Youth Celebration and for our partnership with the Nosu in China.

Dave Charlson completes Convergence

Dave Charlson has successfully completed his three year Convergence program through the CB Northwest. This is a program to help men to become equipped for the ministry. Last week there was a ceremony for Dave and nine other men who completed the program. A sword was given to each person symbolic of their preparation for the battle.

Congratulations Dave!

Snow Alert!!!

Snow is in the forecast for the weekend. If weather conditions merit the canceling of either the Sunday morning or evening activities, an e-mail advisory will be issued. Stay tuned and pray for good clear weather!
"The Christmas S.O.C.C.E.R. Team" premieres this Sunday night at GFBC!

What Christmas season would be complete without a children's program?!  Please join us as we enjoy a musical drama performed by not only the children, but also some "older" folks from GFBC!

You'll recognize some of your favorite Christmas carols during the program, and then help round off the evening with a Carol Sing!

The program begins at 6:00 pm. Afterwards, enjoy fellowship together over refreshments.

Hope to see you there!
