The Men’s Ministries of Gladstone First Baptist Church exists to grow Men of God, in other words, to develop Real Men of Courage. Real Men of Courage is a community of men of all ages who have a passion to serve God and minister to, mentor and disciple other men. Real Men of Courage is a pact between the men of GFBC to a life of adventure and meaning in following Jesus and growing to a maturity in Christ (Colossians 1:28-29). We have a passion for the MISSION of God to bring salvation to unbelievers. We see each believer as one sent out into an unsaved world to share the plan of how Christ has bridged the gap between God and humanity. We do this by demonstrating the love of God through our actions and sharing the mesage of salvation. We mobilize the people of our local church to go into their community and throughout the world, having a local, regional and global focus.

Being involved in a Community Life Group is an integral way to reflect God’s love to each other. We do so in order to live out authentic community. We currently have 11 groups with over 100 people involved. Community Life Groups are not only a great place to connect, study and pray, but are also a way to get involved. If you are interested in joining a group, hosting or leading a group, or just want more information…

GFBC’s Family Resource Center is a quiet space to browse for a good book. The Resource Center has something for all ages, including DVDs, audio books, and music cds. You will find resources to help you delve deeper into God’s word, read fascinating stories of missionaries, or in the self-help section, find ways you can connect with others. May these resources help you to grow in knowledge and impact one another with what you read.

Fellowship is the cornerstone of the communal life of the church. It is through fellowship that we provide a sense of community, and give new people ways to be integrated into the life of the church. As we assemble together for worship, ministry, and a variety of social events we will develop and maintain meaningful, Christ centered friendships across all generations. It is through these relationships that support and encouragement are provided during the joys and trials of life. Genuine hospitality is demonstrated by opening our lives and homes to others in the congregation. Through our shared faith in Jesus Christ we will develop oneness and unity within this community of believers.

First Corinthians 12:28 refers to greeters as the ministry of helps. Our Greeters and Ushers help the Pastor fulfill the vision God has given him by making those who come through the doors of the church feel at home. Our responsibility is to help all who come to worship feel joy, sincerity, importance, peace and comfort when they enter the doors of the church. It is so important that we help everyone feel welcomed. The Word of God calls us an ambassador of the Most High God to His people. This means that we are His spokespersons on Earth. It is essential to understand as a Greeter, we are the first persons that visitors and members see when they enter the church door, we have to always show the love of Christ. It is our responsibility to let visitors and members know that we humbly appreciate them fellowshipping with us. We are committed to ensuring guest that guest are served, that their needs and concerns are met, and that they feel the joy of the Lord upon entering our Worship Service.
