Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at GFBC is focused on students who are in 6th-12th grade.  Our staff is comprised of myself, my wife, and other volunteer leaders approved by church leadership.  It is my desire as the Youth Pastor to see life-changing growth in our students and their families.  I believe this happens through providing an atmosphere where Christ is our primary example, where we learn and grow together.  Our goal is to build Christ centered relationships with youth and their families, accepting them where they are, serving them with love, and encouraging them to walk with Jesus!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    -Youth Pastor, Michael Calquhoun

We meet Sundays from 9:00am-10:00am for Sunday School (not on Easter-April 21st, brunch instead) and Tuesdays  from 6:30pm-8:30pm for Youth Group (not on March 26th during Spring Break) at Gladstone First Baptist Church!  Download a Youth release form

“Men’s Breakfast” (middle school and high school welcome with a Dad/mentor) at GFBC-Saturday, March 30th 8am.

“All Church Clean-Up Day” Saturday, April 6th 8am-2pm.

“Good Friday Service” Friday, April 19th 7pm.

“Easter Brunch” Sunday, April 21st 9am.

“Men’s Retreat” (High School and older) Friday-Sunday, April 26th-28th at Camp Tadmor.

“All Church Bowling Afternoon” Sunday, May 5th 12:30-3:30pm at Kellogg Bowl in Milwaukie (next door to Pietro’s Pizza).

*Fliers for upcoming events will be passed out at Youth Group and in Sunday School, are available at the info. booth, and will be uploaded above with the details for each event when they are made.  Pastor Michael will also email them to parents and youth who are on his email group list.  Please let him know at michael@gfbcfamily.org if you don’t receive regular email updates and reminders and he will add you!

If you are interested serving with the Heavenly Grounds Coffee Shop, please sign-up here if you’ve been trained:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080c48aaae2ba2fd0-coffee Those who completed the training and have not yet served will need to schedule 2-3 weeks in a row to get the hang of things!  You can also click on the schedule link above to be reminded of when you signed up to serve.  All who serve need to be here at 8:15am on their scheduled mornings!
