Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at GFBC is focused on students who are in 6th-12th grade.  Our staff is comprised of myself, my wife, and other volunteer leaders approved by church leadership.  It is my desire as the Youth Pastor to see life-changing growth in our students and their families.  I believe this happens through providing an atmosphere where Christ is our primary example, where we learn and grow together.  Our goal is to build Christ centered relationships with youth and their families, accepting them where they are, serving them with love, and encouraging them to walk with Jesus!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    -Youth Pastor, Michael Calquhoun

We meet Sundays from 9:00am-10:00am for Sunday School (not August 11th during the Church Camp-out, or on August 25th during “Church Has Left The Building) and Tuesdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm for Youth Group (not until Tuesday, September 3rd) at Gladstone First Baptist Church!  Download a Youth release form

July 8th-12th Soccer Camp!  Youth, sign-up to serve!  4:30pm Dinner for workers, meeting/debrief at 8:15, done at 8:30.  Middle School and High School Youth are invited to Pietro’s For Youth Soccer Camp Workers Thur. July 11 2019 10am-3pm You need the bottom of the flier signed and turned in by Wednesday evening, along with your New 2019-2020 Youth release form

Wednesday, July 24th 7:00-8:30pm Community Youth Group with: Calvary Chapel SE, Clackamas Bible, Good Roots and Gracepointe @ GFBC with games, teaching, worship, small group discussions, and a cool treat!

August 7th-11th GFBC Church Campout at Ft. Stevens

Sunday, August 25th 8am Church Has Left the Building meet at the Gladstone High School Parking Lot.  Be on the lookout for details to sign-up.

Friday, August 30th 7-11pm Drive-In Movie and Pool Party at the Gallaway/Dauntless home (flier to come with address and details of what to bring)…Showing Cars.  *This will be the Senior’s last youth activity.

*Fliers for upcoming events will be passed out at Youth Group and in Sunday School, are available at the info. booth, and will be uploaded above with the details for each event when they are made.  Pastor Michael will also email them to parents and youth who are on his email group list.  Please let him know at michael@gfbcfamily.org if you don’t receive regular email updates and reminders and he will add you!

If you are interested serving with the Heavenly Grounds Coffee Shop, please sign-up here if you’ve been trained:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080c48aaae2ba2fd0-coffee Those who completed the training and have not yet served will need to schedule 2-3 weeks in a row to get the hang of things!  You can also click on the schedule link above to be reminded of when you signed up to serve.  All who serve need to be here at 8:15am on their scheduled mornings!
